NOAH elderly visit Robben Island

Thanks to the generosity of uThando, our elderly visited Robben Island recently.

Organised by James Fernie, MD of the non-profit tour operator uThando, the visit to this famous heritage site took place on 9 April 2009.

For most of the NOAH residents and social clubs members from Khayelitsha this was their first time on a ferry and seeing Nelson Mandela’s old cell was worth the sea sickness!
